Disassemble Seagate Goflex

The Seagate Thunderbolt adapter driver is only needed if you are using 3TB or 4TB drives with the Thunderbolt adapter and plan to change drives with other GoFlex adapters (such as USB or FireWire). If you don’t intend to use the drive with other adapters it can be reformatted and the software is not needed. Opening the case There are no screws - the bottom cover is held by ten plastic snap on clips, three on the sides and two on the edges. To open the case, gently pry all around with a thin screwdriver until it is open. The serial pins are accessible without further disassembly. I've read the complaints about using a Seagate GoFlex on a Verizon Router and must say that I had none of those issues. My 2TB GolFlex installed as advertised and is fully functional. I have it backing up a Windows Vista LapTop and a Windows XP desktop using memeo instant backup. I also have a net.
